So this is the new year...

...and so far it's just like the last one!

Now, every single day we all get bombed. On the TV, on the newspapers, on the radio, you could sum up half the info they are giving on one single word:

This fucking CRISIS!!!!

(3 words but let's move on)

Aparently, 2009 is going to be the worst year ever, the apocalypse is coming, everyone is sticking their heads into the sand, I hear "unemployment, unemployment, unemployment". Some hundred people got fired last week, some more hundreds will be fired next week, etc. etc. etc.

OK, now I just finished my college degree. It was suposed to be the greatest time ever: the start of my independance. Of course, I've been looking for a job and sending out resumes for the past 3 months with no luck...... While at the same time I keep getting brainwashed with this crisis shit. Basically I keep hearing that I gotta get ready to accept any job and screw my degree, right?

And all of this combined really pisses me off, so now, I'm making one and only one resolution for 2009:
To return here, one year from now, and be able to write that 2009 was the best year I've had EVER!!! And I don't even care why or how that will happen. I'll just go with the flow (and of course with one plan in mind, to get that damned fine arts degree started) - and someway, somehow, I promise all them media assholes that I'll be laughing when they're whining.

Can I ask you a couple of questions? Is it only me who thinks what Israel is doing is more or less like genocide? O_O I know I shouldn't say that, but the more I read the statistics on the news, the more I think that. Do you also think that all these problems would "never" have happened if there was never a 2nd world war. What's your stance on that? It's an old subject I know, but still.

I don't think WWII has anything to do with this, specially because the pressure to build a jewish state in the Middle East already existed since way before (there was even jewish terrorist attacks on british officers and such, at the time Britain was in charge of Palestine). So I think that state (Israel) would have appeared sooner or later...

And you're not the only one talking about a genocide, a very famous and talented portuguese writer has said the same thing last week... Well, he said that what is happening in Gaza is another type of Auschwitz, which is a pretty strong statement... I have no idea if this is a genocide or not, for me it certainly feels that way too. It feels like Israel will never be satisfied with the countries around it until it can anihilate Palestine completely!
